Amersham Town Council provides important core services at the heart of the community:
- Cemeteries: maintenance of our three cemeteries.
- Allotments: administration and ongoing maintenance of allotment sites, providing a vibrant allotment community.
- Street lights: we own and maintain more than 900 street lights, with an on-going replacement programme.
- Planning applications.
- Sports and hall bookings: supporting local sports clubs by maintaining pitches to a high standard, facilities for hire at Hervines, Barn Meadow, the Market Hall, and now Flint Barn Court.
- Devolved Services: our depot carries out work around our various sites, for Bucks County Council, various Parish Councils and many one-off jobs.
In addition to these services, Amersham Town Council is committed to making Amersham a special place for all its residents. Thus we organise the very popular band concerts, Art Festival, Christmas events, Heritage Day, and support the award-winning efforts of Amersham in Bloom.
