Back Heathrow

Founded in 2013, the Back Heathrow initiative was set up to campaign for an expansion of Heathrow air port to keep up with the rising demand’s for travel as the restrictions from covid have begun to ease off.

Heathrow is at the heart of the local West London and Thames Valley community. Supporting over 100,000 jobs directly and indirectly related to the airport within 25 miles – we want that community to continue to thrive! Back Heathrow represents the views of over 100,000 local people and businesses who want growth in jobs and trade at the UK’s only hub international airport.

Recently, the Back Heathrow founders attended one of our chatters. The campaign is privately funded and is on target to hit sustainability goals and increase available apprenticeships and jobs within the area. If any chamber members would like to sign up and show their support for the expansion project, A QR code and website will be linked below.

Any volunteers will be kept up to date with progress towards the expansion, all Back Heathrow campaign activities and relevant Heathrow events such as the Business Summit in the autumn which focuses on helping SMEs get involved in the supply chain.
