Chamber member’s Employment Law in Action are delighted to announce a new course covering employment essentials for new managers, supervisors, team leaders, anyone new to HR or who has HR responsibility

Rois Hammond, Director of ELIA, said ‘The programme is a series of 2 hours online sessions at fortnightly intervals, on the basic principles of people management which occur during an employee’s lifecycle.’

Course Content & Dates

The sessions can be used individually if there is a particular knowledge gap or attended as a complete course where knowledge and understanding builds.

Recruitment: Thursday 12 February 2026 10 am – 12 pm

Onboarding and Probation: Thursday 26 February 2026 10 am – 12 pm

Performance Management: Thursday 12 March 2026 10 am – 12 pm

Managing conduct issues: Thursday 26 March 2026 10 am – 12 pm

Sickness Absence Management: Thursday 16 April 2026 10 am – 12 pm

Grievance and Harassment cases: Thursday 30 April 2026 10 am – 12 pm

 Flexible Working Requests and Family Leave: Thursday 14 May 2026 10 am – 12 pm

 Ending the employment relationship: Thursday 4 June 2026 10 am – 12 pm 

Outcomes:

Course costs:

Each session as a standalone is £195 + vat

If all sessions are bought as a complete course £1,450 + vat
