We hope you and your little ones come to Amersham Festival of Music’s Concerteenies, The Big Dreaming.
Amersham Festival of Music is one of the Chamber’s chosen 2026 charities
At Dr Challoner’s Grammar School
On Saturday 12th December from 02:00pm-03:00pm. Doors open at 01:30pm
Come to see the musical story of Mickael Rosen’s ‘The Big Dreaming’, ideal for young children and their families – siblings are welcome! There are two performances the 11am and the 2pm.
Pianist Annabelle Lawson and narrator Polly Ives combine new music composed by award-winning Paul Rissmann, digital animation by Vic Craven, and this new book written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Daniel Egnéus. With songs and actions to join in with and a relaxed and friendly environment, this is a perfect introduction to music, animation and storytelling.
After the concert, join the team for creative activities based on the story, ‘Make a Dreamcatcher.’
This piece was commissioned by Concertieenies (2023) and is possible thanks to funding from the PRS foundation and the Vaughan Williams Foundation. Co-created with children and teachers at Beck Primary School and Whiteways Primary School, thanks to Sheffield Music Hub.
Ticket prices: Adults – £12, Children – £5 and under 2s – free
