Chesham United

Chesham United Football Club is more than just a semi-professional non-league football team, the club has ambitions to be at the heart of the local community and proudly hosts a thriving youth section with hundreds of girls and boys representing the club, and a Ladies team playing in National League South-West as well as competitive squads running from Under 10s to Under 18s.

Chiltern Foodbank

Chiltern Foodbank is a member of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network of which there are over 440 member foodbanks in the UK.

The aim of the foodbank is to help people in the early stages of crisis before other support systems come into place. The foodbank works with over 90 Referral Partners who deal with those in difficulty and they make an assessment of need. When circumstances require clients are issued with a voucher that can be exchanged at the foodbank for an appropriate sized box. A box contains food for three days x three meals and clients are limited to three vouchers within any rolling three month period.

Chiltern Foodbank have distribution centres in Amersham, Chesham, Little Chalfont and Wendover.

In 2015 Chiltern Foodbank fed 2,600 people – 36% of whom were children.
