Tim and Penny both worked at British Forces Television before starting Tympani in 2001 and since then have worked with companies of all sizes from global to small businesses.

With technology constantly changing and video creation becoming so prolific on social platforms like YouTube and Twitter, we are now helping people to get the most out of their own camera equipment or iPhone and offer training courses in filming, editing and lighting.

Tim runs interactive training workshops on the main topics and is very experienced in camera operations, lighting and editing as well as video directing. Prior to joining British Forces TV he worked as a camera operator at the BBC and during his time there worked on every type of programme from Eastenders to major sporting events, as well as filming the Queen inside Buckingham Palace. He’s also a mad keen sailor and in his spare time loves teaching people how to sail, and is an award winning coach and published author.
